Donk and Monk – workings

A video to show Donk and Monk’s capabilities and their working mechanism. Donk’s rowing action is controlled by a custom built “Electronize” electronic speed controller which speeds up the drive motor when a microswitch is closed. The motor is an MFA 940D motor working through a 100:1 planetary gearbox to give the necessary torque. Steering is conventional with a servo controlling the rudder (despite Monk sitting on it).
