Welcome to Our New Web Site!
This is the “new look” web site for both the Scale and Sailing Sections of the Solent Radio Controlled Model Yacht Club… the aim is for a “Magazine” styled site to which Club members will be able to contribute their own comments on posted items, and even post their own items! The site is designed to be viewed on smart phones and tablets, as well as on traditional PC’s… it looks particularly good on an iPad! However, as you will see, this is a major rewrite of the web site and there are bound to be some teething troubles. Please email me if you find something not working or use this reply form and I’ll try to fix it!
You don’t have to be logged in to view the site. However you do have to log in to leave a comment or post an item. All Club members are invited to apply for a log-in password, please email me. Leaving a comment is as simple as typing into the boxes which appear on some pages when you are logged in. To create your own item to post on the site you are provided with a Word-Processor-look window – and the Editors will check your composition looks OK before your item is published to the world! Martin Hart and John Tufnall are the Sailing Section Editors and I will initially be the Editor for the Scale Section. The more you contribute, the more the site will grow!
Quite a lot of pages still have to be transferred from the old web site including many of the photo albums – you can still access them through the “Legacy Pages“. The left hand menus on the old pages have a link to allow you to return to the new web site.
Anyway, please explore the new Club Web site, and I hope you enjoy it …and Please Contribute!

As Scale Captain I welcome you to the new look website with all its new features and the ability to reply to and post items on the site. It will be a great asset to the club and our thanks go to Peter Taylor for all his hard work in getting it up and running , no mean task I can tell you. Please be patient if we have a few minor hiccups getting it all running, it is a major piece of upgrade work after all!
Over the year I shall be using the site to bring news and updates on club activities so you can all be aware of what is happening in the club so keep looking at the site.
