“Moonshadow is a Graupner Saphir and was built from a kit in 2008. The model is 950mm long and displaces about 3.3kg. The rig is slightly taller than the kit version and is fitted with wire rigging. The kit sails were rather basic and had no shape so I made my own using mylar film. It sails well with no real vices so I have rarely had to resort to using the auxiliary motor!”
