IOM Summer Race 06, 12th July 2022

A bit of a rarity today, there was no wind in the car park when I arrived and no wind on the pond. Setting the course was looking difficult until Robin came up with with a course list including all marks bar 3.  Perhaps a bit complicated but it was a course.
A zephyr did arrive at start time allowing us to reach to first mark, fortunately half the fleet went the wrong way round it, enabling me to go into a half leg lead. Easy come, easy go, the wind filled in from behind, my lead not lasting long.
It was that sort of day, Robin with 4 wins and a number of not so good results just managed to win the day, beating Hugh with all bar one result in the top three places. For once consistency didn’t pay.

Alan had a good day finishing with a win and a second.
