One Metre Handicap Trophy

Purchased by the club in 1993 as an award for the best handicap score over the midweek sailing season i.e. from the first of October to the first of April the following year. The remainder of the handicap racing season, first of April to first of October, is given over to R36R class, the trophy for which is the Autumn Handicap Trophy. This arrangement is to cater for the possibility of low water during the summer months when it may not be possible to sail deeper draught yachts.
