IOM Winter Race 03: 17th Dec 2019

A bit on the grey side when I arrived at Setley this morning. The wind could only have been described as light, and the forecast was for the wind to drop and then rain. Unfortunately for once the forecaster got it right, the last race was a drifter in the rain.
Before that though we had three races on a short course, where any position changing was possible. John T managed a first to last to mid fleet in the first race, John T again and Richard made it from the back of the fleet to 1st and 3rd in the third race with Nigel unfortunately going from 2nd to last up the last beat. Peter made it from last to 2nd in the last race. It was a topsy turvey day which we stopped a little early to escape from the rain.
Congratulations to John Bennett who sailed with some consistency to win the day and also now tops the leader board.
