IOM Spring Race 02, 08 Mar 2022 – Jack Fry Trophy

Got yesterday’s email totally wrong, it may have been blowing 20knt on the Solent but it certainly wasn’t at Setley. There was a fraction of east in the wind which resulted in very little making it to the racecourse. There was wind in the car park, there was wind pushing the clouds across the sky but there was certainly no wind around my boat. Only Hugh had a hot line to the heavens enabling him to put together a relatively consistent series of races.

On the positive side, Alan got a 2nd – very unlucky to lose a long lead on the final beat, and Phil and Andy recorded third places.

So congratulations to Hugh for winning the Jack Fry Trophy and well done to all for maintaining a sense of humour throughout the morning.
