IOM Summer Race 13, 30th Aug 2022

Magic day for sailing today, we had a good breeze and sunshine and 11 boats.
We have had so many days of drifting recently, it took a little time for the skippers to acclimatise to the boats moving briskly through the water and things happening faster than in previous weeks. First to acclimatise was Derek who won the first race.  As the morning continued, the wind veered eastwards resulting in there being little wind on the far side of the pond. At this point we amended the course from mark 3 for mark 2 to keep in the breeze.
Well sailed to John T for winning the day followed by Hugh and John Be.
Also congratulations to John Bennett for winning the series.
