IOM Summer Race 6 : 09 July 2024

I think I was a little over optimistic this morning, I donned my sunglasses and sun hat! It wasn’t raining when we arrived and there was a good southerly breeze.

Again all skippers were on the water early which enabled us to bring the first start forwards, just as well because as the morning went on the rain started at first lightly then getting heavier and heavier until we decided to quit early at 12 noon after completing 10 races. The wind, though being southerly which is normally fairly stable, shifted between southwest and southeast randomly which certainly shuffled the finishing positions.
