IOM Autumn Race 04: 24th Sept 2024

Bit of a grey day this morning, however nine of us arrived to race. We had an indifferent northerly, mainly north but a few breaths of east, west and south as the wind faded away mid morning. We made the most of the calm by taking our break and shortened the course for two races after which the wind did fill in a little. In fact after we finished at 12:20 the wind got up further and even managed to blow off my hat!

Credit goes to Nigel who had to mend a broken shroud and missing race 1, he came back to win race 2. It was one of those days where it was possible to get a long lead and sit in a calm and watch the fleet sail past! I found it a very frustrating day.
