IOM Autumn Race 08: 22nd Oct 2024

Arrived today to sunshine and a gentle southerly. The soothsayers said it was going to rain, so I ignored them!

The actual breeze on the pond was so much better than last week. Even though there were big shifts, I found some logic in them and the wind did stay roughly from the south, well with a bit of east and west at intervals. In fact we did get some rain, though not hard until after the finish, so as the weather goes – not too bad.

As normal, racing was close, the 1st places were shared between Hugh (4), John M (2) and John T, John B and Nigel. However John M’s five 2nd places helped him to win the day.
