Ken Dyer
It is with a heavy heart that I bring news. That my Dad and fellow member has recently passed.
Ken Dyer and myself, Ian Dyer were two of the founding members of the scale section back in 1976. I have fond memories of Sunday mornings spent at the pond and many hours tinkering in the shed.
I now live halfway around the world in Canada, but will be coming over in a couple of weeks and plan to come up to the pond to re live those memories.
Ian Dyer (Son)
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that our member who has been with the club from the start, Ken Dyer, passed away on Monday (20th January), I was informed by his family.
His model boats were excellent with all the electrics, lights, sound, etc, he was always ready to help if he could. He helped Peter our father when he first started out, and then also helped on our boats.
He came to all the events at the club and was also on the committee at one stage.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a gentleman and a friend.
Lorna (Club Secretary & Treasurer)
The funeral will be at the New Forest Crematorium on Friday 14th February at 2pm, all are welcome who wish to pay their respects.
