IOM Winter Race 11 : 11th February 2025

After negotiating the locked gate 5 boats were on the water at 10.15. A light breeze from the NNE allowed a course to be set with a long start line from 2 to the bush, 6 8 2 6 8 2 and finish 5 7. The wind changed direction to SSW after the coffee break and just as the course was being changed to a 5 7 start, the wind went back to its original direction and we resumed  the original course. Despite the light wind there was some good close racing and  often won on the last leg by boats at the back finding their way to the front. John Bennett was first with Four 1st places, Hugh 2nd with Two 2nd places and Graham 3rd with Two 2nd places. I look forward to seeing you all next week and hope that the re-surfacing is finished by then.
