RNLB Inner Wheel is a 33′ Brede Class lifeboat which was stationed at Poole, southern England. Model: David McNair Taylor.

David’s Comments: “The model is made from a H & S Marine kit (no longer available) to a scale of 1/20 and has a GRP hull and superstructure with twin props. A very small model that needed great care in selection of servos etc. to keep near to waterline.

“The Brede Class Lifeboat was introduced by the RNLI as a intermediate lifeboat able to go out in weather up to gale force 8, they were based on a modified “Locking” Fishing Boat Hull. “Inner Wheel” was based at Poole and latterly at Calshot before being replaced by an Arun class boat.”
