Tide’s in at Setley Pond!

The car park at Setley Pond on Sunday 19th January 2020

Not surprising after all the unsettled weather during autumn 2019 and into winter 2020 but the part of the car park nearest the pond is looking a little wet. With a very strong anticyclone^* developing over southern England, there was a thin coating of ice on the shallow water flooding the land between the lower and upper car parks.

^* central pressure about 1050 mb which is close to the highest ever recorded.
