IOM Spring Race 2, 4th May 2021

What a day! Plenty of thrills and spills on the water, certainly no debate on whether to use an A rig, just an envious look at those who had C rigs.
A strong westerly always gives varied direction and pressure on the water, however it was good that it came with sunshine which made the holes in the wind not seem quite so bad.
We all sailed with B rigs, a good compromise on a day when you could be sitting in a flat calm while an adjacent boat was broaching.
John M had a good day with consistent results, Nigel started well though faded after the tea break to let John T through into 2nd place. In addition to those three, John Be and Hugh also had race wins in a day where we had 10 races.
