IOM Spring Race 5, 25th May 2021

It was good to welcome Derek back to the pond today, he must have hoped for a continuation of the previous 4 good weeks with the wind blowing up or down the pond. Sadly Setley let us down with a breeze that at its best could be described as “interesting”.  The fresh westerly breeze generated fickle light breezes not only just around the windward marks,  1 and 4, but across the rest of the pond as well.
Though it was a day when long leads could be quickly lost, Johns T and Be managed to be more consistent than the rest of the fleet, each winning 3 races. Congrats to John Be for winning the day.
