IOM Winter Race 06, 11th Jan 2022

A grey day met us this morning.The pond giving an almost perfect reflection with no ripples until a dog went swimming, or it might have been a perfect reflection if the wet mist had left anything to reflect. The good news was it didn’t really rain, though the mist made everything wet.
We started with one lap of a short course and incrementally increased the size of the course as, I was going to say “the wind slowly filled in”, however I feel the term “filled in” is a little generous, perhaps I should say, “became sufficient to move the boats”.
Generally though there was good racing with lots of place changing. Congratulations to John T who came out on top narrowly beating John M, with Hugh in 3rd place.
