IOM Winter Race 09, 1 Feb 2022

What a day!! There was wind, it wasn’t cold and we even saw the sun for a few brief moments. Minor issue was, it was a stiff westerly breeze blowing across the Forest, hitting the bank, flying upwards to come down again in various strengths and directions.
The wind was most problematic on the “beat” across the pond from 4 to 8, I could never work out whether to go left or right, though it seemed to pay mostly on the opposite side to which I went. Racing was close with lots of place changing, Johns B & T were most consistent, with John T winning the day.
