IOM Spring Race 09, 26th Apr 2022

What a wonderful day, sunshine and a bit of breeze. Though I did borrow a coat off John B since the breeze there was, came from the general direction of the frozen north.
We had a good turn out of 10 of us, and we managed without anyone having to stand out as race officer.
With the wind flicking between north and east, after a short consultation / debate we set 5 as a windward mark to the northeast. I thought it would be a good compromise until the wind settled a bit. Setley knew best and as the morning moved on, instead of settling, it continued part of the time to continue flicking between north and east, and rest of the time coming in from the south with the sea breeze. An interesting morning’s sailing!

John T made the best of the morning, winning with 3 firsts, with John M second with 2 firsts closely followed by John B, Robin and Nigel with one win each.
