IOM Autumn Race 03, 27th Sept 2022

A select band of 6 of us sailed this morning, I guess the skippers we were missing had read the weather forecast and stayed away.

With a fresh northwesterly forecast and gusting 25 knots in the Solent, we were blessed with a gentle southerly, come westerly, come northerly, come easterly with the odd gust creating nose dives and broaching. Looking on the bright side, there was wind and we sailed 10 races and it didn’t rain!

Racing was very close and a little random, the final results were very close with 2 points splitting the first three. John M coming in in front of Robin and Hugh.

I will try to put a bid in for better wind next week.
