IOM Summer Race 11, 15 Aug 2023

Firstly, we were thinking of John Bradshaw and his family this morning, he will be missed. John has supported the IOM fleet for many years and he has always been a keen, fair competitor. John was always in the mix and my memories are that he was an expert at finding his own wind lines and sailing up through the fleet, as well as often judging me over the line at the start!

On a lighter note, today ws Setley at its best. We had sunshine and sufficient wind to complete 7 races. Wind direction was a bit dodgy, we had a forecast south westerly and an actual bit of everything. Thus the sailing was a bit random, no one really put a consistent series together, with the final results having 1 point covering the top three. Congrats to John B for just sneaking the day from Hugh and John M.
