IOM Winter Race 07, 23 Jan 2024

I was a bit concerned about the weather today, the Met Office forecast 90% rain and 30 knots. We agreed to give it a go, the rain was light, a pervasive wetness, not too bad since I was dressed for a rain storm, the wind was from the south and relatively steady, in fact almost as good as Setley can give us.
We all agreed to use the B rig, which seemed a bit small when we started, though the talk was of C rigs by the time we finished. Martin started off flying showing us all how to sail in a breeze, however John T, who was spotted sticking his boat back \together with superglue at the break, came good and won the day with Martin 2nd and John M 3rd.
