IOM Spring Race 04, 26th Mar 2024

Bit concerned today that we might have a flat calm and raining,  however the rain held off apart from a few spots at the end of the morning and the wind was just sufficient to help us get in 10 races. This gave good sailing for the 10 IOMs.
We started racing in a southeasterly and as the morning went on it shifted round to the south, then southwest resulting in a number of course changes. A bit embarrassing in race 7 where Hugh was well clear and he hadn’t clocked the change of finish line and lost his first place.
Nigel started on fire and easily won the first race and Graham won the last coming out on top after a lot of lead changing. The remaining races were won by John M and John B finishing the day 1st and 3rd respectively, with Hugh coming in second sadly with no race wins.
