IOM Spring Race 10, 7th May 2024

Amazing day today, sunshine and a gentle northerly, definitely a shorts and T shirt day.

Though I said northerly, the wind started northeasterly and went round to the northwest as the morning went on, flicking left and right at random intervals making the beat quite complex, or so I thought. Last week I found every windshift shifted logically, whereas today I could find no logic at all.

John B got the shifts right today, winning 5 of the 12 races and Setley Trophy. Congrats to John B, and to Hugh and John T who followed in 2nd and 3rd.

Fingers crossed for sunshine next week, and perhaps a more logical wind!
